BARBADOS

Happy Friday! It's Jeff and this week I'm laying out the perfect Barbados beach weekend for you.

Sun, Rum, And Beach Paradise

Why you should go: It’s the Caribbean dream—white sand beaches, turquoise water, and sweet rum punch. Plus, the island has real soul, from its music scene to its flying fish sandwiches.

Tell me more: Whether you're into beach lounging, snorkeling shipwrecks, or dancing under the stars, Barbados has it. It's also super easy to get around, safe, and full of welcoming locals who’ll make you feel right at home. Here's a great island guide.

Best time to visit: Make the trip down when it's sunniest, from December to June.

Day 1: Beach Bliss & Bridgetown Vibes Land and head straight to the beach—Carlisle Bay is a top pick for crystal-clear water and chill vibes. Later, explore Bridgetown’s historic core and grab dinner at Oistins Fish Fry if it’s a Friday.

Day 2: Adventure & Island Flavors Snorkel with sea turtles or take a catamaran cruise along the Platinum Coast. Then safari through Harrison’s Cave or hike in the lush Scotland District. Wrap it up with dinner at Champers or a beach bar.

Day 3: Culture & Chill Check out St. Nicholas Abbey for a taste of Barbados rum and history. Swing by Hunte’s Gardens for a tropical jungle experience before one last beach afternoon. Grab a final roti before heading home.

Pro Tips: Taxis don’t use meters so agree on the fare first. Bring reef-safe sunscreen. And yes, Bajans are as friendly as they say—definitely chat with locals for secret spots!

A weekend never seems like enough time, but Barbados is relaxed enough to make it a worthwhile and fun short vacation.

Let me know if Barbados is on your bucket list!

See you out there - Jeff
