FULIDHOO, MALDIVES
Happy Friday! It's Jeff and this week we're cruising into the honeymoon capital of the world for under $100 a day.
But first: have you seen these new ultra luxury first class seats?
Paradise On A Budget
What's It All About: Fulidhoo is a tiny island in the Maldives with local charm, white sand beaches, and clear turquoise water—all without the luxury resort price tag. Here's a great guide.
Tell Me More: It’s one of the few Maldivian islands where you can really experience local culture and stunning nature. Plus, it’s super relaxed, less touristy, and surprisingly affordable.
Why It's Affordable: In a sea of ultra expensive resort islands filled with $1,800 per night hotel rooms, Fulidhoo is different. It operates on local prices—think $5 meals and $20 snorkel tours.
Where Is It: Fulidhoo is in the Vaavu Atoll, about 1.5 hours by speedboat from Malé, the capital of the Maldives. Expect to pay around $1,000 for your flights.

Best Time to Go: Visit from December to April for the sunniest skies and calmest seas. May to October is cheaper but comes with more rain and wind.
Top Things to Do:
Snorkel or dive with nurse sharks, manta rays, and vibrant coral reefs - I personally loved my experience at Fulidhoo Dive!
Watch a bodu beru drum and dance show on the beach
Swim and relax on the bikini beach (yes, there’s a designated one for tourists)
Where To Stay: Budget-friendly guesthouses like Seena Inn or Kinan Retreat offer private rooms, home-cooked meals, and local experiences—usually for under $80 a night.
Fun Facts: There are no cars on the island and no ATMs, so make sure to bring all the cash you'll need!
I remember how excited I was to learn that you can experience The Maldives without paying Maldives prices.
I'll see you next week with another of my favorite destinations.
See you out there - Jeff
